"The adaptation by Evropi Thomopoulou, who is also the director of the performance, is extremely interesting to the extent of thinking that we prefer this version of the story. The same goes for her staging of the play

 

The performers retain the tension of the first moments of the performance until the last music note closing the performance and they give us a beautiful interpretation bringing the figures to life. They dance, balancing like acrobats, they shout - or even yell their souls out - amist their indignation, they lose and get lost to be reunited again, they drown and get drowned faithful to what they represent defend and love. 

 

The music and songs selected by Evangelos Latos complement the performance can only be regarded as brilliant selections. Just as the costumes and the choreographies"

The interpretation of the actors is intense but at some point they do not let us perceive the real climax. The multifaceted interpretation of Faidra Chatzikostantis, who at first seems quite expectable, but later unfolds her capabilities, was remarkable."

In a family where seemingly everything seems perfect, there is violence, sexuality, power relations and above all cruelty. In terms of this proposal, the result of her performance is very satisfactory. 

 

The performance manages to render well the tension as well as the tragic elements characterising the specific family relations.

 

Lyssandros Spetsieris' interpretation contributes extremely to this direction. He yields in an excellent manner the neurotic ambivalence of the oppressor which demands great immediacy and mastery. Faidra Chatzikostantis was also very good in her role as the younger sister Marie. 

 

Last but not least, the music selections by Evangelos Latos complement impeccably the performance."

Faidra Chatzikostantis is transformed admirably from a fragile little girl to a strong woman determined to make her own rebellion, Lyssandros Spetsieris interpretes with sense and tenderness the most difficult character of the play, while Despina Malli contibutes with her presence to retaining the tensions but also to the submissive atmosphere of the play"
